Abstract
We characterize the polarization state of few-femtosecond laser pulses by implementing the dispersion scan technique in combination with the tomographic ultrafast retrieval of transverse light E-fields procedure (DTURTLE). We demonstrate, both numerically and experimentally, that D-TURTLE unambiguously identifies the pulse ellipticity, its handedness and which polarization component travels ahead. Given the robustness of this technique, and its self-referenced and in -line nature, D-TURTLE can be extremely useful to characterize polarized few-cycle laser pulses.
