Abstract
Conservator-restorers are becoming frequently more commonplace in archaeological teams as opposed to some decades ago. his, however, is yet to be supported by actual data obtained from archaeological sites. his paper presents a study into the presence and absence of conservator-restorers within these sites, taking a focal point on those directed by public institutions. he main objectives of this paper are to achieve an initial understanding of this discipline as represented through the ield of archaeology. Our conclusions show that while restoration teams, either in the ield or the laboratory, are indeed present, there are some sites that remain without. These preliminary results will discuss this particular question in the geographical region of the country Spain.
