Abstract
Este artículo apunta las claves con que tres ensayos audiovisuales se valen de los recursos de este formato para deconstruir algunas de las iconografías claves utilizadas por un Estado totalitario para legitimarse. Caudillo pone en evidencia la construcción artificial del mito del Caudillo como ser elegido para guiar a España. Brutalidad en piedra contrapone los discursos megalómanos del partido nazi a sus grandiosos escenarios vacíos e inútiles tras la derrota. María, una elegía campesina ataca, en fin, la iconografía abstracta del campesino como figura privilegiada de la mitología soviética, mostrando la indiferencia del Estado hacia su encarnación real.
This paper analyses three film-essays that use this format to deconstruct some of the iconographies constructed by a totalitarian State to legitimize itself. Caudillo highlights the artificial construction of the myth of the Caudillo as a being chosen to lead Spain. In Brutality in stone megalomaniac speeches of the Nazi party are opposed to their huge buildings, empty and useless after the defeat. Finally, Maria, a peasant elegy attacks the abstract iconography of the peasant as a privileged figure of the Soviet mythology, showing the indifference of the state towards its real incarnation.
