Abstract
Tras la Gran Recesión del 2008, y a consecuencia del conjunto de políticas basadas en la austeridad y los recortes sociales que la siguieron, se creó el contexto propicio para la explosión de las plataformas digitales de trabajo, empresas con sello tecnológico y transgresor que coordinan la oferta y demanda de un sector determinado del mercado para poner en contacto a trabajador y consumidor, llevando la posibilidad de emprender hasta la palma de la mano. El objetivo de su actividad es anticiparse a los hechos para pasar de gastos fijos -trabajadores contratados- a gastos puntuales -tareas cumplidas-, proceso que ha sido posible de modo masivo gracias a la recolección y análisis sistemático de datos a través de algoritmos automatizados, lo que les ha permitido crear una estructura empresarial hiperflexible. After the Great Recession of 2008, and as a consequence of austerity policies and subsequent social cuts, the context was set for digital work platforms to thrive, i.e., companies with a technological and transgressive stamp that coordinate the supply and demand of a given market sector to connect workers and consumers, bringing the possibility of entrepreneurship just a few clicks away. The aim of their activity is to anticipate events in order to move from fixed costs -contracted workers- to one off costs -accomplished tasks-, a process made possible on a massive scale due to systematic collection and analysis of data through automated algorithms, which has allowed them to create a hyper-flexible business structure. This is what has become known as the fourth industrial revolution, platform economy or sharing economy...
