Estudio de "Primer Acto", revista especializada en información teatral

Abstract

La investigación y estudio de la presente tesis doctoral se ha centrado en la revista Primer Acto, especializada en información sobre la actividad teatral en España. Se trata de la publicación periódica más relevante en este sector del periodismo especializado. El objetivo principal de esta investigación es aproximarnos al estudio del teatro desde el ángulo comunicativo y, más concretamente, desde la óptica de la especialización periodística, ya que los estudios realizados hasta ahora sobre el teatro están más relacionados con sus aspectos históricos, literarios, técnicos, etc. En esta tesis se pretende demostrar la importancia de la información especializada en el ámbito de la comunicación y también en la del teatro. Para alcanzar tal objetivo se utilizan en este trabajo distintos métodos de análisis de contenido, y de análisis estructural. Como base del estudio se ha realizado una amplia catalogación e indexación de todos los números de esta revista desde el primer número publicado en abril de 1957 hasta el número 348 publicado en el primer semestre de 2015, abarcando un periodo próximo a los 60 años de existencia. En la parte teórica se estudia el aspecto comunicativo del arte escénico, destacando sus diversos elementos como medio de intercomunicación entre actores y público. Para corroborar esta función del teatro se aporta un modelo de comunicación teatral. The research and study of this doctoral thesis is focused on the magazine Primer Acto, specialising in information on the theatrical activity in Spain. This is the most important journal in this sector of specialised journalism. The main objective of this research is to approach the study of theatre from the communicative angle and, more specifically, from the standpoint of journalism specialisation, since the studies carried out so far on theatre are more related to its historical, literary, technical aspects, etc. This thesis aims to demonstrate the importance of the information specialised in the field of communication and also in the theatre. To achieve this objective different methods of content analysis, and structural analysis are used. As the basis of the study, there has been an extensive cataloguing and indexing of all the issues of the magazine ranging from the first issue published in April 1957 to number 348 published in the first half of 2015, covering a time period of approximately 60 years of existence of this publication. In the theoretical part, the communicative aspect of the performing arts is studied, highlighting its various elements as a means of communication between actors and audience. To corroborate this function of the theatre, a theatrical communication model is provided. It comes complete with a reference to the dramatic Semiology linked to the "Circle of Prague" and a study of theatrical sociology. From the journalistic point of view the characteristics and modalities in the area of cultural information are addressed, within which includes theatrical information, which forms part of it.
