Arqueología Protohistórica en Castilla-La Mancha: la Edad del Hierro

Abstract

Este trabajo presenta la descripción y análisis de la Edad del Hierro en Castilla-La Mancha. Desde una perspectiva diacrónica y sintética se aborda el estudio de las diversas comunidades prerromanas de la región (celtíberos, carpetanos, vettones, oretanos, etc.), explicando los territorios en donde se desarrollan y las peculiaridades socioculturales que las diferencian de sus vecinos. Además, esta síntesis presenta los principales yacimientos arqueológicos de la Meseta Sur, así como la nómina de los investigadores más relevantes que han aportado información para explicar este período histórico.This paper presents the description and analysis of the Iron Age in Castilla-La Mancha. From adiachronic and synthetic perspective the study of the diverse pre-Roman communities of the region (Celtiberians, Folders, Vettones, Orethane, etc.) is explained, showing the territories where they develop and the sociocultural peculiarities that differentiate them from their neighbors. In addition, this synthesis presents the main archaeological sites of the South Iberian Plateau, as well as the list of the most relevant researchers who have contributed to knowledge of this historical period.
