Abstract
La presente investigación pretende ofrecer una mirada a la compleja relación entre democracia y violencia en Colombia, a partir de la teoría de la Hegemonía y el análisis de discurso. En este sentido, se pregunta ¿De qué manera el Discurso de la Tradición democrática y civilista colombiana da cuenta de cómo se desarrollan las relaciones políticas de amistad y enemistad entre 1958 y 2016? La respuesta a la que se llega es que la tradición democrática y civilista del país, más que un relato neutral y despolitizado, es un discurso cuyas pretensiones hegemónicas se comprueban, dado que intenta dictar las normas, prácticas, instituciones y relaciones políticas, otorgándole a quienes dicen representarlo y que acceden al Estado, la prerrogativa de definir al enemigo de la comunidad, para, eventualmente, declararle la guerra y ejercer violencia a través, pero no exclusivamente, de los aparatos coercitivos estatales...
This research aims to offer a look at the complex relationship between democracy and violence in Colombia, based on the theory of Hegemony and discourse analysis. In this sense, it asks how the Discourse of the Colombian democratic and civil Tradition accounts for how political relations of friendship and enmity develop between 1958 and 2016?
