Abstract
Arterial ischemic stroke (AIS) accident is a pathology typically considered typical of adulthood. However, the incidence of this pathology around the time of delivery is very similar to that found in old age, with the perinatal period being the second age with the highest risk of suffering this heart attack. A high number of sequelae such as epilepsy, motor disorders such as hemiparesis, language problems or cognitive and behavioral disorders have been associated with this perinatal arterial ischemic stroke (PAIS). These behavioral disorders have been vaguely described in the longitudinal studies present in the literature, but could be of decisive importance in determining the correct therapy for patients and greatly improve their quality of life and, perhaps, other sequelae that could be derived from these alterations. It is crucial to bear in mind that these patients could have to deal with depressive or hyperactive type disorders in decisive times such as childhood or adolescence, conditioning the development of their lives and those of their families, however, it has not been provided sufficient attention to the study of mood disorders...
