Abstract
La política de consolidación del reino de Castilla emprendida por Alfonso VIII tuvo su materialización visual en las imágenes regias. El análisis de las mismas, prestando una especial atención a su significado político e intención propagandística, es el tema de estudio del presente artículo.
The consolidating politic of the kindong of Castilla started by king Alfonso VIII, had an specifyc visual materalization on the royal images. The analysis of those images, attending to their political meaning and their propagandistical function, constitutes the purpouse of this article.
