Abstract
El presente trabajo responde a una motivación profunda que brota desde el ámbito escolar, en primer lugar como docente, luego como directivo y finalmente en tareas de asesoría y consultoría a organizaciones escolares de distintas condiciones en Chile. El desarrollo de nuestro sistema escolar y las iniciativas de reforma que han intentado mejorar la calidad de la educación en Chile, han sido una motivación permanente para mejorar las habilidades personales y poder prestar un mejor servicio en los espacios que me ha correspondido trabajar. Por ello, al iniciar los estudios de doctorado y completar los seminarios del primer año, uno de los temas que llamó mi atención, a partir del conocimiento de las variables de Eficacia Escolar, fue el vislumbrar la posibilidad de realizar un quiebre en el trabajo de la escuela a partir del trabajo de los docentes, pero en particular, con la capacidad que `pudiese desplegar quien la dirige. Por otra parte, la aproximación más directa con el mundo de la investigación y el desarrollo de métodos específicos para esta labor en el campo escolar, generaron los motivación suficiente para desarrollar el trabajo de cierre de este proceso, respecto del tema del liderazgo, a través de la aplicación de una metodología sistemática y con valor científico. This present work answers back to a deep motivation that rises from the scholar field, first as a teacher, then as a directive and finally as a consultant to scholar organizations of different conditions in Chile. The development of our scholar system and the reform initiatives that have aimed to improve the quality of Chilean education have been a permanent motivation to improve personal skills and lend a better service in the fields that I have had worked. There for, when the doctoral studies began and when completed the first year seminaries, one of the subjects that catch my attention form the knowledge of the scholar effectiveness variables, was to glimpse to make a break in the school works from the work of the teachers, but particularly, with the capacity that could display the one who directs. On the other hand, the more direct approach with the world of the investigation and the development of the specific methods for this labor in the scholar field created the enough motivation to develop the ending work of this process, regarding to the leadership subject, trough the application of a systematic methodology with a scientific value. The result of years of hard work on the leadership of the principals of educational centers applied in the metropolitan region of Chile and their relation with the scholar achievements is what I expose next...
