Abstract
Esta tesis estudia el antisemitismo contemporáneo en Estados Unidos desde la perspectiva de la Anti-Defamation League (ADL), durante el período 1945-2001. Se centra en el discurso público de la organización estadounidense, analizando cómo la ADL entiende, aborda, define e identifica el antisemitismo, así como el tipo de narrativas desarrolladas por la agencia y cómo encajan en su discurso a lo largo del tiempo. Se trata de una perspectiva innovadora que busca estudiar un fenómeno multifacético a través del rol de los actores históricos, investigando cómo construyen el antisemitismo, y poniendo el foco en la comprensión de los factores clave, las narrativas interconectadas y el impacto del contexto sociopolítico. This dissertation studies modern antisemitism within the United States from the perspective of the Anti-Defamation League, during the period 1945-2001. It focuses on the public discourse of the American organization, investigating how antisemitism is constructed through the roles of historical actors and analyzing how the ADL understands, approaches, defines and identifies antisemitism. It contemplates the type of narratives developed by the agency and how they fit into its discourse over time. This is an innovative perspective which provides a highly comprehensive overview of the issue and an in-depth understanding of the key actors and factors involved, the intertwined narratives, and their socio-political impact. Using the organizational framework and lens in an original way, this research helps to fill a literary gap in academic publications, aiming for a revaluation and widening of the approaches from which to study antisemitism...
