Bridges, Not Walls: El arte como mediación de los espacios violentados a lo largo de la historia

Abstract

El presente Trabajo Fin de Máster tiene como objetivo analizar y presentar los resultados de investigación sobre las prácticas artísticas escénicas como motor de mediación artística en espacios que han sufrido violencia bélica a lo largo de la historia, mediante la participación en programas de movilidad KA1 de Erasmus +, insertados en las subvenciones de la Comisión Europea en compromiso con la Agenda 2030. La metodología empleada consistió en una investigación de tipo cualitativo, aplicando herramientas cuantitativas y cualitativas, a través de la interpretación de los datos que han brindado los cuestionarios que se realizaron a los intérpretes de la performance de Bridges, Not Walls y el público asistente. Los resultados del cuestionario han permitido comprobar de qué forma el empleo de herramientas de teatro, en concreto del teatro fórum de Augusto Boal y del teatro documento de Bertolt Brecht, comunican con los mecanismos de resolución de conflictos y de la resignificación de espacios que siguen impregnados por el duelo de sus ciudadanos. En esta investigación se encontrarán los resultados de actividades artísticas aplicadas a la discusión y divulgación de los derechos humanos, con especial atención a las zonas que han sido afectadas por la violencia y la opresión de origen bélico.

ABSTRACT

The aim of this Master's thesis is to analyse and present the results of research on performing arts practices as an engine of artistic mediation in spaces that have suffered war violence throughout history, through participation in KA1 mobility programmes of Erasmus +, inserted in the grants of the European Commission in commitment to the 2030 Agenda. The methodology used consisted of a qualitative research, applying quantitative and qualitative tools, through the interpretation of the data provided by the questionnaires carried out with the performers of the Bridges, Not Walls performance and the audience. The results of the questionnaire have allowed us to verify how the use of theatre tools, specifically Augusto Boal's forum theatre and Bertolt Brecht's document theatre, communicate with the mechanisms of conflict resolution and the re-signification of spaces that are still impregnated by the mourning of their citizens. In this research we will find the results of artistic activities applied to the discussion and dissemination of human rights, with special attention to areas that have been affected by violence and oppression of war origin.
