La leucemia linfoblástica aguda (LLA) es un tipo de cáncer altamente metastásico en el que células linfoides en estadios tempranos de diferenciación crecen descontroladamente e invaden la sangre y órganos hematopoyéticos, e incluso tejidos extramedulares. Las células de LLA disponen de mecanismos de migración similares a los de los linfocitos normales para diseminarse a otros tejidos, y además adquieren otras modificaciones que favorecen la infiltración (Whiteley et al., 2021).
