Talleyrand y el toisón de oro español

Abstract

En este trabajo se quiere mostrar la uy especial relación que el gran político francés charles Maurice de Talleyrand tuvo con el Toisón de oro español. Talleyrand fue protagonista de la política francesa desde el final del reinado de Luis XVI hasta el de Luis Felipe i, y como tal ocupó importantes cargos ministeriales y cortesanos y recibió las principales condecoraciones de los distintos regímenes franceses, así como las de numerosos países europeos, como podemos ver en los textos de los tratados internacionales. Pues bien, en los textos el Toisón se colocará el primer tras las órdenes francesas, y en las imágenes oficiales que él controló sólo aparecía luciendo una orden extranjera, el Toisón español, es más ordenó añadir su insignia a cuadros pintados años antes como muestra de su aprecio hacia ella, e incluso en el busto ordenado hacer por el rey Luis Felipe tras su muerte de nuevo sólo aparece el Toisón como orden extranjera. En estas líneas veremos todo esto e incluso cómo el toisón de Talleyrand pasó por los méritos de su tío a su heredero, el duque de Valençay.This paper wants to show the very special relationship that the great French politician charles Maurice de Talleyrand had with the spanish golden Fleece. Talleyrand was a protagonist of French politics from the end of the reign of louis XVi to that of louis Philippe i, and as such he held important ministerial and court positions and received the main decorations of the different French regimes as well as those of numerous European countries, such as we can see in the texts of international treaties. Well, in the texts the Golden Fleece will be placed first after the French orders, and in the official images that he controlled he only appeared wearing a foreign order, the spanish Fleece, what is more, he ordered his insignia to be added to paintings painted years before as a sign of his i appreciate her, and even in the bust ordered to be made by King luis Felipe after his death, only the golden Fleece appears again as a foreign order. in these lines we will see all this and even how Talleyrand’s fleece passed through the merits of his uncle to his heir, the Duke of Valençay.
