Actitud ante la muerte: Lu Xun y Octavio Paz. Modos de morir y su relación con la identidad cultural

Abstract

Esta tesis doctoral, titulada “Actitud ante la muerte: Lu Xun y Octavio Paz. Modos de morir y su relación con la identidad cultural”, tiene el objeto de investigar y analizar filosóficamente la muerte y la problemática de la identidad a través de la comparación de dos escritores, Lu Xun y Octavio Paz. Estos dos escritores son representantes de su propio país, China y México, respectivamente, y ofrecen dos visiones y dos maneras de estar en el mundo ante la muerte. Asimismo, sus perspectivas nos muestran la diferente actitud ante la muerte en Oriente y Occidente. Como el título de la presente tesis indica, la muerte es el hilo conductor de mi trabajo. Como fundamento, doctrina filosófica y herramienta principal para investigar y analizarla idea de la muerte en hago uso del existencialismo de Heidegger, sobre todo de su concepto del “estar vuelto hacia la muerte”...

This doctoral thesis, entitled “Attitude towards death: Lu Xun and Octavio Paz. Ways of dying and their relationship with cultural identity”, has the purpose of investigating and analyzing philosophically about the death, and around the problem of identity, through the comparison of these two writers, Lu Xun and Octavio Paz, two representatives of their own country, China and Mexico, both offer respectively two visions and two ways of being in the world in face of the death. Likewise, their perspectives show us the different attitudes of death in the East and the West. As the title of this thesis indicates, the death may be the main idea of my work, as a foundation, philosophical doctrine and main tool to investigate and analyze the idea of death, I use Heidegger's existentialism, especially his concept of “being towards death”...
