Abstract
Hay artistas que entregan su vida a la creación plástica, son conocidas en sus años de producción, llegan a alcanzar una cierta notoriedad, pero cuando las circunstancias y la edad les va restando ímpetu para la lucha, son relegadas a la oscuridad y finalmente desaparecen con toda su obra en la más absoluta indiferencia. Esta es la historia de Esther Ortego, artista plástica, que vivió entre 1934 y 2012, pintó más de 1800 cuadros al óleo, imprimió miles de estampas de grabado, escribió cientos de poemas y se pasó la vida entregada al arte, especialmente en las décadas de los años setenta, ochenta y noventa, en las que destacó por su forma expresionista de representar la figura humana, en una mezcla inclasificable de realismo simbólico y abstracción integradas en la misma pieza..
The following work aims to visualize the pictorial legacy of the artist Esther Ortego (Madrid, 1934-Madrid, 2012).There are some artists who gave her life to plastic creation, they were well known in their production period, even they achieved to gain some popularity within the cultural environment, however when the age and the personal circumstances could not help them to continue their fight to be on board, they were relegated to the darkness and finally, they disappeared with their whole artistic work in the most absolute indifference. This is the story of Esther Ortego, a plastic artist who lived between 1934 y 2012, she painted more than 1800 oil pictures, she printed thousands of engraving stamps, she wrote hundreds of poems and spent her life given over to art, mostly in the decades of seventies, eighties and nineties. She stood out in art for her expressionist way of representing the female human figure in an unclassifiable mixture of symbolic realism and abstraction in the same image...
