Abstract
El interés que despierta el aprendizaje de segundas lenguas ha propiciado que los investigadores centren sus estudios en los aspectos que resultan problemáticos en la enseñanza de lenguas extranjeras. Con ello, se pretende buscar respuestas que puedan conducir a un aprendizaje efectivo por partes de un grupo determinado de aprendientes. Es el caso del presente estudio sobre la adquisición del modo subjuntivo entre dos lenguas afines: el español y el francés. Lo que en un primer momento se puede interpretar como una ventaja, en los niveles intermedios y superiores supone un reto para los estudiantes porque tienen que enfrentarse a un complejo proceso mental para impedir que el francés interfieran negativamente en la adquisición modal del español. El punto de partida de esta investigación es determinar la causa que produce los principales errores en la adquisición del modo subjuntivo en el plano oral y determinar cómo la lengua francesa influye en español como L2. Para ello, se ha elaborado un corpus oral a partir de dos cuestionarios grabados a lo largo de un semestre y formados por 51 informantes franceses, estudiantes de segundo año de Lenguas Extranjeras Aplicadas de la Universidad de Tours(Francia). De esta manera, se pretende analizar la adquisición de la alternancia modal y establecer unos patrones de errores comunes a los estudiantes francófonos. There is much interest among the general public in learning a second language, and this has led researchers to examine aspects that are problematic in the teaching of foreign languages in hopes of finding answers that can lead to effective strategies for language learners. This research, in particular, investigates language learners’ acquisition of the subjunctive mood between two related languages: Spanish and French. While one might assume that the commonalities between these two languages would facilitate language acquisition, in fact, at intermediate and higher levels, the similarities between the two languages actually pose a challenge for students who have to navigate a complex mental process to prevent French from negatively interfering with the modal acquisition of Spanish. The starting point of this research is to determine the cause that produces the principal errorsin the acquisition of the subjunctive mood at the oral level and to determine how French language influences Spanish among L2 students. To do this, an oral corpus was created from two questionnaires administered over the course of a semester. The respondent pool consisted of 51 informants, all native-French-speaking second-year students of Applied Foreign Languages at the University of Tours in France. The purpose of the questionnaires was to analyze the acquisition of modal alternation and establish common error patterns among francophone students.
