Abstract
Human Computer Interaction (HCI) issues are particularly relevant in healthcare, considering the impact of information technology (IT) in the users’ cognitive process. The present work analyses five case studies presented in the literature, discussing methods and techniques used in the design process and to explore the identification of HCI critical aspects in healthcare. The study identifies 29 elements corresponding to common interaction consequences or errors in healthcare, which are systematized in seven categories of critical aspects, considering the type of factors implicated, i.e. human, organizational and / or technological.
