La Fiesta, función integradora y manipulación política: el caso de La Ventilla

Abstract

En 1985 tuvieron lugar las I Jornadas de Antropología de Madrid, planeadas para convocar a los antropólogos que trabajaban en la capital, y fundar una Asociación. Mi aportación trató sobre las funciones sociales y políticas que habían cumplido las fiestas organizadas en el barrio de La Ventilla por su Asociación de Vecinos durante los primeros años tras la muerte del dictador, conocidos como “la Transición” (1976-77), cuando el movimiento vecinal madrileño jugó un importante rol movilizador.In 1985 took place the ‘First Conference of Anthropology of Madrid’, planned to join the anthropologists who worked in the capital, and create an association. My contribution dealt with the social and political functions that had been organized in the district of La Ventilla by its Association of neighbors during the first years after the death of the dictator, known as "The Transition" (1976-77), when the Madrid's Neighborhood movement played an important mobilizing role.
