Within the framework of the welfare state, we find the fight against poverty. The Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) programs have been the main instrument used by Latin American governments to overcome the problem of poverty in the region. The woman has become the main recipient of the monetary transfers granted by these programs. This seems to give women more confidence and decision making power within their homes. The object of study of this document is the empowerment of women through CCT programs. In the meantime, this research aims to be a contribution to the study about the fight against poverty. Emphasizing the rethinking of the importance of women in the strategy of Latin American governments against poverty. Above all, taking into account the potential that CCT programs seem to have for the search for the empowerment of women...
