Abstract
Roland Schimmelpfennig es una de las voces más destacadas de la dramaturgia contemporánea alemana. Su escritura libre e innovadora ha provocado que en numerosas ocasiones sea presentado como un autor posdramático. No obstante, si bien es cierto que comparte algunos rasgos coincidentes con la experimentación posdramática (fragmentación, hibridación con otros lenguajes, coralidad, etc.),tampoco se puede obviar que dichos aspectos son fruto de un contexto más amplio, como son las diferentes tentativas de renovación, rescate y superación consecuencia de la crisis del drama que ha operado a lo largo del pasado siglo XX. Por lo tanto, encuadrar a Schimmelpfennig únicamente dentro de las coordenadas del teatro posdramático sólo contribuye a encasillar a un autor cuya escritura está a caballo entre la innovación y la tradición...
Roland Schimmelpfennig is one of the leading voices in contemporary German drama. His free and innovative writing has caused him to be presented on numerous occasions as a post-dramatic author. However, although it is true that it shares some features that coincide with post-dramatic experimentation (fragmentation, hybridization with other languages, chorality, etc.), it cannot be ignored that these aspects are the result of a broader context: a consequence of the different attempts of renewal, rescue and overcoming of the drama crisis that has operated throughout the past 20th century. Therefore, framing Schimmelpfennig solely within the coordinates of postdramatic theater only contributes to limit an author whose writing balances between innovation and tradition...
