Abstract
La no ficción ha conocido un auge en España a partir de los años noventa del siglo XX. Directores como Basilio Martín Patino, Víctor Erice, Joaquín Jordá y José Luis Guerín fueron la avanzadilla en esa época de un documental distinto que distaba mucho de ser el habitual en los reportajes televisivos. Los dos últimos, además, contribuyeron a la formación de multitud de cineastas a través de su trabajo como profesores en el Máster en Documental de Creación de la Universidad Pompeu Fabra, donde se desarrollaron un tipo de películas que basculaban entre la vanguardia, la ficción y el documental. El resultado de este magisterio fue una serie de cineastas, donde figuran nombres tan ilustres como Isaki Lacuesta o Mercedes Álvarez, que renovaron el panorama cinematográfico español desde los márgenes del sistema. No obstante, no solamente los alumnos del citado curso fueron los responsables, sino que también se sumaron muchos de los que estudiaron la rama de audiovisual de la Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona y directores de formación diversa...
Non-fiction has experienced a boom in Spain since the 1990s. Directors such as Basilio Martín Patino, Víctor Erice, Joaquín Jordá and José Luis Guerín were the forerunners at that time of a different documentary that was far from being the usual one in television reports. The last two, in addition, contributed to the training of a multitude of filmmakers through their work as professors in the Pompeu Fabra University Creation Documentary Master's Degree, where a type of film was developed that ranged between the avant-garde, fiction and documentary. The result of this teaching was a series of filmmakers, including such illustrious names as Isaki Lacuesta or Mercedes Álvarez, who renewed the Spanish film scene from the margins of the system.
