Abstract
O artigo aborda a importância da compreensão social da Ciência da Informação, dada as configurações econômicas, sociais e culturais no século XXI, as quais dependeram basicamente do conhecimento e da informação. Nesse contexto, busca-se refletir sobre a apropriação social das TIC, a partir do estudo de dois fenômenos coletivos organizados em rede o Mídia NINJA (Brasil) e desInformémonos (México), a fim de apresentar alguns dos seus resultados na produção de recursos informacionais e culturais. Para isso, se considera o Midialivrismo como categoria fundamental para contribuir à conquista dessa expressão cultural, participação cívica e deliberação democrática. Metodologicamente, o estudo é de natureza documentária e bibliográfica, de modo que apresenta uma análise conceitual das questões abordadas.
The article discusses the importance of social understanding of Information Science, given the economic, social and cultural settings in the XXI century, which depended, basically, on the knowledge and information. In this context, this research seeks to reflect on the social appropriation of ICT, from the study of two collective phenomena organized in a network, the Mídia NINJA (Brazil) and desInformémonos (México), in order to present some of their results in the production of informational and cultural resources. For this, Midialivrismo is considered as a fundamental category to contribute to the achievement of cultural expression, civic participation and democratic deliberation. Methodologically, this study is documentary and bibliographical in nature, so that it presents a conceptual analysis of the issues addressed.
