Abstract
ABSTRACT: This paper introduces some of the main contributions of queer literary theory and criticism, developed in particular in the United States of America during the beginning of the 90s. Likewise, this work will showcase some Iberian medievalist novels that might help explaining the potential of said analytical-critical tools. Starting from the fertile semantic instability of the word “queer”, it is intended therefore to provide an overall idea of the challenges and opportunities that come from approaching literary Medievalism from this excentric perspective.
