Abstract
The law that establishes the Brazilian education guidelines, Law No. 9394/1996, ranges from basic education to higher education. Recently the law about education is in the process of transformation. In 2012, Law No. 12.772, which deals with the teaching profession, demarcates the inseparability of the turning point of the three main spheres of activity of higher education centers, teaching, research and extension. In this context, Law No. 13.005/2014, approving the National Education Plan (PNE) and other provisions, for example, ensure that at least 10% of the hourly graduation course load is held in extension and encourages studies and surveys to examine the need for coordination between training, curriculum, research and the work. Thus, the aim of this paper is to analyze the impact of legislation on teaching practices, research and extension in Brazilian Library and Information Science. According to these updates in legislation, the first question here launched accounts for potential data link between the work of research groups and the current legislation. In order to put into discussion the inherent questions the intentions behind the legislation and its application possibilities, the specific objectives of the study account for the actions to identify, describe and discuss the teacher's role from the Brazilian research group "Ecce Liber: philosophy , language and knowledge organization." Specifically, we highlight here two boundary lines: the articulation of different grants; the dialogical constitution of plural projects. It is believed that the actions of this research group articulates harmoniously the three spheres proposed in the legislation, namely acts in teaching, research and extension inseparably.
