Abstract
Desde Ecuador se reconoce la importancia de vincular el Nuevo Entorno Digital (NED) a la educación en tanto en cuanto se presenta como una oportunidad para el desarrollo del país y, muy especialmente, para las comunidades indígenas. Esta tesis explora la naturaleza de los desafíos que trae consigo el NED en las escuelas de Ecuador, analizando cómo el profesorado se enfrenta a esos cambios y, de manera específica, el papel de la comunidad indígena en los procesos de integración de la educación intercultural en el marco del nuevo entorno digital. Para ello se ha llevado acabo una triple aproximación.
