Abstract
O trabalho tece considerações acerca das novas possibilidades de relacionamento com os usuários nas unidades de informação proporcionadas pelas Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação (TICs). São discutidas questões relacionadas ao acesso à informação e à apropriação social das tecnologias. Três casos de incorporação das TICs em unidades de informação são analisados: o Museu Casa de Portinari, dedicado ao artista plástico brasileiro; o Museu TAM, maior museu de aviação do mundo mantido por uma companhia aérea privada; a Biblioteca São Paulo (BSP). O foco das análises foi a prestação de serviços de referência virtual, a utilização de redes sociais e a oferta de tecnologia nas unidades de informação. Como metodologia, adaptamos alguns princípios do método SWOT e navegação online nos sites do Museu Casa de Portinari e Museu TAM, com o objetivo de construir parâmetros para o desenvolvimento de um modelo de análise piloto do serviço de referência virtual. No caso das redes sociais e da oferta de tecnologia nas unidades, foi analisada a estratégia de incorporação de possíveis usuários e a comunicação estabelecida com os mesmos. No caso da BSP, além da análise dos serviços ofertados online foi feita uma análise complementar por meio de uma imersão no ambiente do objeto de estudo, as áreas multimídia da Biblioteca, que consistem num módulo restrito para o uso de computadores por crianças e jovens. Foi possível verificar que o SRV representa uma oportunidade de aumentar a satisfação e a interação das unidades de informação com seus usuários. Os principais fatores identificados como possíveis limitadores do progresso desse serviço são a falta de acesso à tecnologia e o custo da infraestrutura, além de questões relacionadas às habilidades e à formação de profissionais e usuários na utilização da tecnologia.
The paper does considerations about the new possibilities of relationship with users in units of information provided by the Communication and Information Technologies (TICs). Issues are discussed related to access to information and social appropriation of technologies. Three cases of incorporation of TICs into units of information are analyzed: the Portinari House Museum, dedicated to Brazilian artist; TAM Museum, world's aviation museum maintained by a private airline; the São Paulo Library (BSP). The focus of the analysis was to provide virtual reference services, the use of social networks and the provision of technology in information units. The methodology adapted some principles of SWOT method and online navigation on the websites of Portinari House Museum and TAM Museum, with the goal of building parameters to develop a pilot model of analysis of the virtual reference service. In the case of social networks and supply technology in the units, incorporating strategy of potential users and the communication was analyzed established with them. In case the BSP, besides the analysis of online services offered, an additional analysis was performed by immersion in an environment subject matter, the areas of multimedia library, consisting of a restricted module for computer use by children. It was possible to verify that the SRV is an opportunity to increase customer satisfaction and the interaction of information units with their users. The main factors identified as possible limiting the progress of this service are lack of access to technology and the cost of infrastructure, and issues related to the skills and training of professionals and users in the use of technology.
