Análisis del impacto económico de la COVID-19 en el medio rural de España.

Abstract

La crisis de la COVID-19 ha tenido importantes efectos a nivel social y económico en España tanto en núcleos urbanos como en el medio rural. Sin embargo, debido a las diferencias existentes en el modo de vida y la economía entre estos dos ámbitos territoriales, el impacto ha sido distinto. Se ha considerado un problema que el territorio español sufre desde hace décadas y que cada vez es más acusado: la despoblación. Este es clave para entender la situación desde la que se parte y que ha condicionado la repercusión de ciertos efectos. Este Trabajo de Fin de Grado se centra en analizar de qué forma y en qué aspectos ha incidido esta crisis en el medio rural español. Por tanto, se ha estudiado la situación de su mercado laboral y de los tres sectores económicos (agrario, industrial y servicios) atendiendo a las actividades económicas concretas que se desarrollan allí. También se han explicado otras consecuencias de la pandemia que han afectado al funcionamiento de la economía de algunos municipios rurales.

The COVID-19 crisis has had important social and economic effects in Spain in both urban and rural areas. However, due to the differences in the way of life and the economy between these two territorial areas, the impact has been different. A problem that the Spanish territory has been suffering from for decades and which is becoming more and more pronounced has been considered: depopulation. This is key to understanding the situation from which we start and which has conditioned the repercussion of certain effects. This Final Degree Project focuses on analysing how and in what aspects this crisis has affected the Spanish rural areas. Therefore, the situation of its labour market and the three economic sectors (agriculture, industry and services) has been studied, focusing on the specific economic activities carried out there. Other consequences of the pandemic that have affected the functioning of the economy of some rural municipalities have also been explained.
