Abstract
The 21st century has provided an array of technological tools at the service of the media and the dissemination of any journalistic content. But, it has not been a revolution deriving in a development of the communication capabilities of mediators in the biosanitary field, or the emergence of mechanisms of content validation that guarantee the quality or the accuracy of the information. In addition, Internet has become an information superhighway on which there is a convergence of scientific and/or informative texts of excellent level and ‘bargains’ of pseudo scientific content that only comprise misrepresentations and favour superstitions on disease cures that exclude medical care. Dissemination fades while false sciences cause havoc in a general population that lacks weapons to defend themselves.
