La traduzione del” Decameron” in área ibérica : alcuni approcci

Abstract

Se aborda un recorrido parcial y selectivo del proceso de recepción del Decameron de Boccaccio en la Península Ibérica con ejemplos precisos del cuento VII,1 tanto en la versión castellana antigua del siglo XV que transmite el ms. J-II-21 de la Biblioteca de San Lorenzo de El Escorial como en algunas versiones de los siglos XIX y XX. Los sistemas de traducción, sus grandes dificultades en contextos éticos, sociales y culturales diferentes se perciben también en las estrategias adoptadas en las ediciones ilustradas desde el siglo XIX hasta hoy. La manipulación del libro, sus alteraciones a todos los niveles, por falta de medios adecuados, por incompetencia o por voluntad de censura evidencian la libertad manejada por traductores, editores e ilustradores que muy a menudo, hasta la mitad del siglo XX, han banalizado y degradado el contenido, la ideología y el significado más profundo del texto

A partial and selective tour of the receiving process of Boccaccio's Decameron is addressed in the Iberian Peninsula with specific examples of the story VII, 1 in both the old fifteenth-century Castilian version that transmits the ms.
