Crisis ecosocial, sostenibilidad, prácticas artísticas y curaduría. Teoría y praxis

Abstract

Las prácticas artísticas nos permiten habitar otras realidades, construir nuevos relatos y recuperar conocimientos olvidados que deconstruyan aquellos que conforman las raíces del capitalismo, el patriarcado y el colonialismo. El ejercicio de la curaduría y las prácticas artísticas se han desarrollado insertas en un sistema asentado sobre esta tríada a la que llamaremos CPC, que constituye los cimientos sobre los que se ha fundamentado la crisis ecosocial que vivimos. Las artes, como herramientas de imaginación política, cobran un papel esencial en la configuración de la nueva cosmovisión necesaria para hacer frente a una nueva conciencia colectiva post-fosilista. Permiten establecer vínculos desde otros ángulos, hablar de descarbonización, de decolonialidad, de feminismos, de justicia ambiental, de mitigación y de poner la vida en el centro. Esta tesis desarrolla la hipótesis de cómo los relatos no pueden cambiarse únicamente desde el plano discursivo, pues para desarticular una narrativa inscrita en un relato histórico CPC, trabajar desde la (re)presentación ya no es suficiente. Conlleva el desarrollo de prácticas culturales situadas que consideren la trazabilidad de los materiales que utilizamos, así como las personas colaboradoras, trabajadoras y todas aquellas implicadas, el ecosistema circundante y, en general, el ciclo de vida(medioambiental, social, cultural) de los proyectos y la justicia climática como telón de fondo...Artistic practices allow us to inhabit other realities, build new narratives and recover forgotten knowledge that deconstructs those that make up the roots of capitalism, patriarchy and colonialism. The exercise of curating and artistic practices have been developed within a system built on what we may call a CPC which constitutes the foundation on which the ecosocial crisis we are experiencing has been based. The arts, as tools of political imagination, play an essential role in shaping the new worldview necessary to face a new post-fossilist collective consciousness. They enable to establish links from other angles, to talk about decarbonization, decolonization, feminism, environmental justice, mitigation and to put life at the center. This thesis develops the hypothesis of how events cannot be changed solely from the discursive level, because to dismantle a narrative inscribed in a CPC history, working from the (re) presentation is no longer enough. It entails the development of situated cultural practices that consider the traceability of the materials with which we produce and the processes, as well as the collaborators, the workers and all the people involved and, in general, the (environmental, social, cultural) life cycle of the projects and climate justice as a backdrop...
