Un precursor sui géneris. Ignacio Olábarri y la historia social en España

Abstract

Analiza este artículo la trayectoria del prof. Olábarri en el seno de la historia de las relaciones laborales como voz disidente en un marco historiográfico dominado por visiones marxistas. Resalta la tradición anglosajona y el humanismo cristiano como fundamentos de su pensamiento historiográfico, en el que insiste en las interrelaciones entre los distintos componentes del mundo laboral. Esta perspectiva acabó desplazando a la más puramente marxista en la historiografía española al reivindicar el estudio del mundo del trabajo con la metodología de la historia de las relaciones industriales.This article studies the trajectory of prof. Olábarri within the history of labor relations as a dissenting voice in a framework dominated by Marxist historiography. This text highlights the Anglo-Saxon tradition and the Christian humanism as the foundation of his historical thought, which insists on the interrelationships between the various components of the workplace. This perspective eventually displaced more purely Marxist visions in Spanish historiography claiming the study of the world of work with the methodology of the history of industrial relations.
