Abstract
This research work analyzes how gender is done through the Tinder dating application, as a device that is both transformative and (re)producer of gender subjectivities in a neoliberal context. To do this, this device and the socio-economic context in which this type of digital platforms are inserted are examined, analyzing the encounters and disagreements between patriarchy and neoliberalism and their performativity, in terms of reproduction of asymmetric gender relations. The objective has been to delve into the processes of gender subjectivation that operate through this application, revealing how, on the one hand, the exacerbation of traditional gender mandates is induced and, on the other, additional technologies for the production of new archetypes of femininity are introduced. The latter find their foundation in the neoliberal resemantization of gender mandates and stereotypes as empowering for women...
