Abstract
This thesis is entitled "Study of the author's first works: José Jiménez Lozano: Diálogos jansenistas (1968) and Historia de un otoño (1971)". Its aim is to investigate the first two narrative works of the writer José Jiménez Lozano with the intention of delving into the leap that the author made from journalistic essay to literature, as well as to study the semiology of these texts in order to gain a rigorous knowledge of their meaning. The first of these works is an unpublished theatrical text entitled Diálogos jansenistas (Jansenist Dialogues) written during Holy Week in 1968. It was never published due to the author's own wishes, but we have had access to it. The second workis his first novel Historia de un otoño, published and awarded third place in the Nadal Prize; both texts coincide in theme and in part of the body, one being the genesis of the other, but their ending is different enough to be a cause for study. The evolution from one writing to the other has allowed us to know the creative process that the writer had at the beginning of his literary career, as well as to indicate some clues of the search that he had for a certain message...
