Preferencias musicales y su influencia en el aula de música en estudiantes del IES Leonardo da Vinci de Majadahonda

Abstract

En el presente trabajo de investigación se va a tratar la importancia que tiene la música en la vida de los adolescentes, y los estilos musicales que más cercanos están a ellos. La música está muy presente en la vida de los adolescentes ya que es un medio de expresión, identificación, relación con los demás, comunicación, etc. Por esta razón, resulta interesante reflexionar sobre la presencia en el aula entre la música popular, la tradicional y la clásica o culta, que se suele estudiar en la etapa de Educación Secundaria Obligatoria. También se indaga en el porqué de la preferencia de la música popular antes que la clásica, para intentar averiguar dónde está el vacío entre los gustos musicales de los estudiantes y aquellas músicas que incluye el currículo. Por lo tanto, el principal propósito del presente trabajo de investigación es averiguar cuáles son las preferencias musicales de los estudiantes, conocer los hábitos musicales de los adolescentes y del entorno donde conviven, conocer su cultura y conducta musical y por último, relacionar esos gustos musicales con los que se escuchan en el aula de música.This present research addresses the importance of music in the life of teenagers and the musical styles closest to them. Music is omnipresent in youngsters’ lives, as a way of expression and identification, or as a way to relate to others and also as a means of communication. We should therefore consider the presence of traditional and classical music, which is usually studied during the years of Secondary Education. To find out why there is a gap between the musical inclinations of our adolescents and those included in the Curriculum, this research, also inquiries into the preference of popular music over classical. Therefore, the main purpose of this research is to find out what the musical preferences of students are, to investigate the musical habits of today’s youth and the environment where they live, as well as to become acquainted with their culture and musical behavior and to finally relate these musical tastes to those heard in the music class.
