Abstract
ABSTRACT: This research explores the use of computational tools for the analysis of media coverage in the context of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, with a sample spanning from October 2023 to May 2024. Applying computational linguistics tools (such as corpus analysis and natural language processing) to journalistic productions, it studies the editorial lines of the most read media outlets in Spain, to identify the discursive patterns that characterize the narrative with which every media outlet covers the conflict. In addition, it also includes a framing examination through semiotic analysis, with which it also explores the media’s treatment of key events of the conflict. Finally, it proposes other possible tools that would allow the development of future media research.
