Suelo armónico y ornamental

Abstract

“Suelo armónico y ornamental” es un cuadernillo planteado en su conjunto como libro de artista que forma parte del libro “Suelo”. Refleja una actividad desarrollada en relación con el suelo de un espacio significativo. Dicha actividad dio lugar, además, a una instalación artística constituida por un dibujo de gran formato y un video, presentados en la exposición “Suelo”. La actividad consistió en un recorrido, pie tras pie, sobre una espiral armónica trazada con arreglo al diseño del solado de la estancia. Se hizo después un registro táctil de este suelo recorrido mediante frotamiento, realizado con una piedra de grafito creada con la forma de la cuenca de las manos reunidas y aplicada sobre hoja de papel. Se dibujaron así 18 hojas de la misma anchura que el largo de un pie, puestas sucesivamente sobre el suelo a lo largo de la espiral. Estas identifican los primeros 18 pasos dados, uno por página del cuaderno."Harmonious and ornamental ground" is a booklet conceived as a whole as an artist's book that forms part of the book "Suelo" (Ground). It reflects an activity carried out in relation to the floor of a significant space. This activity also gave rise to an artistic installation consisting of a large-format drawing and a video, presented in the exhibition "Suelo". The activity consisted of a walk, foot after foot, on a harmonic spiral traced according to the design of the floor of the room. This floor was then recorded tactilely by rubbing it with a graphite stone created in the shape of the basin of the joined hands and applied to a sheet of paper. Eighteen sheets of paper of the same width as the length of a foot were drawn, placed successively on the ground along the spiral. These identify the first 18 steps taken, one per page of the booklet.
