La voluntad de Arte de David O. Selznick. Análisis fílmico de la Obertura de “Lo que el viento se llevó” (Victor Fleming, 1939)

Abstract

Bajo la firma del singular productor David O. Selznick, subyace una voluntad artística (Kunstwollen, siguiendo a Allois Riegl) que se manifiesta ejemplarmente en los títulos de crédito y la obertura de la película Gone With The Wind (Lo que el viento se llevó, Victor Fleming. EEUU: Selznick International, 1939), en cuyo seno quedan relacionadas afinidades formales que son analizadas en el presente trabajo de investigación. En la producción cinematográfica, el término productor designa tanto la figura del empresario cinematográfico como la del profesional encargado de guiar la producción de una película. Con esta descripción como punto de apoyo, hacemos un seguimiento de la carrera profesional de Selznick con el fin de averiguar cómo él mismo estableció los sistemas de producción en los films en los que participó y qué especial diseño instauró para culminar la producción de la película Lo que el viento se llevó, constatando como hecho extraordinario el que la película sufriera hasta tres cambios de director sin que el resultado final se viera afectado...Under the signature of the singular producer David O.
