Abstract
In this article we analyze the tombstones of frey Luis de Guzmán and frey Pedro de Silva preserved in the Santa Cruz Museum of Toledo. The first died in 1495 and the second in 1511. These two Calatrava knights were buried along with others of the same Order in the Tránsito former synagogue, after its transformation into San Benito church. In addition to carrying out a brief study on both figures and their tombstones, we try to relate their original location with the first works of readaptation of the building and with the construction of the sacristy entrance inside the old prayer room. In order to do this, we will also carry out a thorough comparative analysis of the shields on the sacristy roof and its entrance, with those offered on both tombstones.
