Abstract
La tesis doctoral analiza la representación de lo fantástico en cuatro escenificaciones contemporáneas de Macbeth de William Shakespeare: las direcciones de Michael Thalheimer (Alemania, 2018), Yaël Farber (Sudáfrica, 2021), Ghasem Tangesirnezhad y Mahsa Rahsepar (Irán, 2019) y Juan Carrillo (México,2012). A partir de un marco teórico basado en los estudios de ficción y los ‘mundos posibles de lo fantástico’ (Ariza Trinidad, 2021), se aborda la escenificación de lo fantástico en el teatro contemporáneo, destacando cómo estos directores elaboran técnicas de escenificación de los elementos sobrenaturales y/o acontecimientos imposibles en el teatro para generar nuevas experiencias sensoriales y narrativas. The doctoral thesis analyzes the representation of the fantastic in four contemporary stagings of Macbeth by William Shakespeare: the directions of Michael Thalheimer (Germany, 2018), Yaël Farber (South Africa, 2021), Ghasem Tangesirnezhad and Mahsa Rahsepar (Iran, 2019) and Juan Carrillo (Mexico, 2012). Drawing from a theoretical framework based on fiction studies and the ‘possible worlds of the fantastic’ (Ariza Trinidad, 2021), it addresses the staging of the fantastic in contemporary theater, highlighting how these directors develop staging techniques for supernatural elements and/or impossible events in theater to create new sensory and narrative experiences.
