La producción artística transdisciplinar desde el campo de la biología y la tecnología en la segunda década del siglo XXI

Abstract

Esta tesis presenta un marco teórico derivado de una investigación de autores y referentes cuyos conceptos, metodologías, proyectos y/o maneras de abordar las prácticas artísticas están relacionadas con el uso de las ciencias biológicas y biotecnología como medio artístico. Se retoman proyectos pioneros del siglo XX, y se profundiza con la catalogación de obras artísticas que brindan el estado del arte de este tipo de manifestaciones creativas en la segunda década del siglo XXI. Estos trabajos se presentan dentro de un marco conceptual proveniente de la biología y el arte que permite reunir, comprender y ordenar en temáticas específicas el trabajo de estos artistas. Estas prácticas se desarrollan por medio de la colaboración entre científicos, ingenieros, diseñadores, aficionados, hackers, makers y ciudadanos con distintos perfiles y conocimientos quienes establecen metodologías y canales de comunicación que incentivan la investigación y la producción artístico-científica transdisciplinar y colaborativa...This thesis presents a theoretical framework derived from an investigation of authors and referents whose concepts, methodologies, projects and / or ways of approaching artistic practices are related to the use of biological sciences and biotechnology as an artistic medium. Pioneering projects of the twentieth century are resumed and deepened with the cataloguing of artistic works that provide the state of the art of this type of creative manifestations in the second decade of the XXI century. These works are presented within a conceptual framework from biology and art that allows to gather, understand and order in specific themes the work of these artists.
