Abstract
The following study aims to address the possible typological evolution of the psychocentric tourist to the allocentric tourist from the moment he starts his tourist journey. It will also try to answer how people with certain characteristics, a structured lifestyle and a high purchasing power make trips within the allocentric framework. For this study we have taken into account the theories on tourist typologies of Erik Cohen and Stanley Plog and the theory of tourist motivations of J.L. Crompton. The aim of this study is to understand the tourist and the different choices that are made regarding to travelling during their tourist life.
