Termometrías esofágica, cloacal, ocular y podal en búho real (Bubo bubo)

Abstract

Thermometric measurements (ºC) were obtained from 8 Eurasian eagle-owls (Bubo bubo) using a repeated measures design in anesthetized individuals under an ambient temperature of 27 °C. Esophageal and cloacal temperatures were recorded using thermistor probes. In addition, infrared thermography was used to measure temperatures in the eye (entire eye, including medial, central, and lateral zones) and in the entire feet, with the aim of identifying the highest temperature within each region of interest.
