Abstract
Esta tesis examina la evolución y los cambios en la producción de contenidos digitales gubernamentales, con especial referencia al caso de las comunicaciones públicas e institucionales en Arabia Saudí, utilizando métodos para la recopilación de datos. Una de las universidades más famosas subvencionadas por el gobierno saudí es la Universidad Islámica, que cuenta con aproximadamente un 85% de estudiantes extranjeros. Los métodos de análisis de contenidos digitales se han aplicado a esta universidad. Se obtuvieron los resultados de una serie de entrevistas con directivos de seis de los departamentos de comunicación de instituciones gubernamentales y semi gubernamentales saudíes y, por último, se elaboró un cuestionario en el que participaron 111 encuestados. El objeto principal de este estudio es la producción de contenidos digitales en los departamentos de comunicación de las instituciones gubernamentales de Arabia Saudí en el contexto de la aparición de las plataformas de medios sociales. Los gobiernos se enfrentan al reto de diseñar contenidos digitales que se adapten a las necesidades de los ciudadanos como resultado de dichas plataformas. Aproximadamente el setenta por ciento de los saudíes tiene menos de treinta años y, por ello, el gobierno necesita desarrollar departamentos de comunicación y medios para ofrecer contenidos compatibles con los usuarios alejados de los contenidos oficiales y burocráticos...
This thesis examines the evolution and changes in the production of government digital content, with particular reference to the case of public and institutional communications in Saudi Arabia, using methods for the collection of data. One of the most famous universities supported by the Saudi government is Islamic University (2023), which has approximately 85% of its students from abroad. Methods of analysis of digital content have been applied to this university. The results of a series of interviews with managers from six of communication departments of Saudi governmental and semi-governmental institutions were obtained, and finally, a questionnaire was created and 111 respondents participated.The main focus of this study is the production of digital content within the communications departments of governmental institutions in Saudi Arabia in the context of the emergence of social media platforms. Governments are challenged to design digital content that adapts to citizen needs as a result of those platforms. Approximately seventy percent of Saudi Arabians are under the age of thirty, and because of this, the government needs to develop communication and media departments in order to provide content that is compatible with users away from official and bureaucratic content...
