En el contexto de la creciente digitalización de la información, las redes sociales han adquirido un papel central en la difusión de noticias y en la configuración del debate público. En particular, plataformas como Facebook han permitido a los medios de comunicación interactuar con sus audiencias en tiempo real, amplificando la visibilidad de los acontecimientos y facilitando la participación ciudadana. Sin embargo, este entorno también ha propiciado fenómenos como la polarización, la incivilidad y la propagación de desinformación, especialmente en momentos de crisis social. Esta investigación analiza la interacción de los usuarios en Facebook en torno a la cobertura informativa de dos medios de referencia en el mundo hispanohablante: El Comercio (Perú) y El País (España). El estudio se centra en dos coyunturas clave: las protestas en Perú contra el gobierno de Dina Boluarte, desencadenadas tras el intento de golpe de Estado del expresidente Pedro Castillo (diciembre 2022 - enero 2023), y las manifestaciones en España en rechazo a la investidura de Pedro Sánchez y la negociación de una ley de amnistía con partidos independentistas catalanes (noviembre 2023)...
In the context of the increasing digitalization of information, social media has taken on a central role in news dissemination and the shaping of public debate. In particular, platforms such as Facebook have enabled media outlets to interact with their audiences in real time, amplifying the visibility of events and facilitating citizen participation. However, this environment has also fostered phenomena such as polarization, incivility, and the spread of misinformation, especially during times of social crisis.This research analyzes user interactions on Facebook regarding the news coverage of two leading media outlets in the Spanish-speaking world: El Comercio (Peru) and El País (Spain). The study focuses on two key events: the protests in Peru against the government of Dina Boluarte, triggered after the attempted coup by former president Pedro Castillo (December 2022 - January 2023), and the demonstrations in Spain opposing the inauguration of Pedro Sánchez and the negotiation of an amnesty law with Catalan pro-independence parties (November 2023)...
