Abstract
Analysis of musical discourse for serial fiction: proposal of an integral and comparative analysis model from the original television formats to the new production frameworks. The Anglo-Saxon corpus as a case study. Since the birth of audiovisual works, musical discourse has established itself as a fundamental element in the development of stories. However, it has been accompanied by a academic output that is still to this day on the academic margins. This research aims to value its functioning through the development of an exclusive analysis methodology for television serial fiction. The method is made according to the study of (1) the music that structures the series and (2) the musical sections that are inserted into the story. To test their viability, it is applied in two terms. On the one hand, to a demanding case study in terms of duration. The BBC's Doctor Who (1963-1989; 2005-), which is particularly interesting for testing because of its longevity, is chosen...
