Abstract
Durante el siglo XVII se produce en Sevilla la fundación del Hospital del Pozo Santo, concebido por franciscanas terciarias para asistir a pobres impedidas. Dicho establecimiento, contó con una biblioteca, en la que obras hagiográficas y de carácter piadoso y devoto satisfacían sus necesidades lectoras orientadas a excitar una vida al servicio de las más necesitadas.
During the 17th century, the foundation of the Hospital del Pozo Santo took place in Seville, conceived by Franciscans to assist poor disabled people. This establishment had a library, in which hagiographical works of a pious and devout character satisfied their reading needs aimed at exciting a life at the service of the most needy.
