This doctoral thesis analyses the relationships between verbal language and thought, taking the phenomenology of Edmund Husserl as theoretical frame. The lack of a systematic treatment of this issue in Husserl´s work, and its relegation to a marginal place in the set of his works concerning the analysis of meaning and intentional acts of mention from a logical point of view, motivates the researching interest towards a clarification of Husserlian understanding of verbal language and its relevance for the production of meaning. Despite this apparent secondary character of verbal language in the general approach of Husserlian Phenomenology, the study we carry out here shows to what extent it plays a key role in shaping and understanding experience from a phenomenological point of view...
