Mediaciones del conocimiento y de la información que humanizan y que deshumanizan

Abstract

Argumenta acerca de la humanización y la deshumanización como procesos que siguen en curso; y que continuarán abiertos, en tanto que exista la humanidad. Explica cómo dilucidar cuáles son los usos sociales de las tecnologías que humanizan y los que deshumanizan. Se refiere a las utopías, como las primeras formas en la que se diseñan los modelos de sociedades, que más tarde inspiran los movimientos sociales; al mismo tiempo que describe el antagonismo entre las utopías y las contrautopías. Se pregunta qué cabe esperar de la producción social de comunicación, cuando se dispone de las TIC, en las sociedades que se han venido en llamar “globalizadas”. los conceptos que maneja son los de la apropiación referencial del mundo, virtualización de la existencia y contrautopía tecnocrática. El conflicto entre los avances del conocimiento que humaniza y el funcionamiento deshumanizador al que están sometidas las personas y las organizaciones, sería el tema fundamental de nuestro tiempo.During the conference, the author tries to distinguish the knowledge and information mediations that humanize and unhumanize. The Spanish academic argues about the humanization and the un-humanization, as processes that continue in course; and that will continue open, as long the humanity exits. In addition, he refers to the utopias as the main ways that society models are designed, those who later inspire the social movements; at the same time that he describe the antagonism between utopias and counter utopias. During the conference he manage to answer what to expect from the communication social production, with the disposition of the TICs (Technologies of Information and Communication), in those societies that have been named as “globalized”. Some other of the managed concepts are the ones about the world´s referential appropriation, the ones about the existence virtualization; as well as those about the technocratic counter utopia. As a conclusion, the academic explains that the mentioned conflict between the knowledge advances that humanizes and the unhumanizer function that people and organizations are submitted to, would be the main topic of our time.
