Abstract
This doctoral thesis examines the Andalusi Judeo-Arabic dialect through a linguistican alysis of documentary material produced by the Jewish community of al-Andalus. The sources consist of handwritten business and personal letters in this variety of Arabic, written by Jews of Andalusi origin.T he letters have been selected on the basis of three fundamental criteria: 1) the criterion of availability, i.e., as Wagner (2010) 2 states in her study of the corpus of Oriental and Egyptian letters of the Cairo Genizah, that the letters analysed in this doctoral thesis have been previously included in other publications. 2) the criterion of Andalusi authorship, since the PhD student lacked training in codicology and Hebrew palaeography, it was necessary for a researcher in the field of Judeo-Arabic to have come to the conclusion that the letters were written by Andalusi authors. In relation to the documents worked on, each one has been correctly referenced, indicating the author who has previosusly identified it as Andalusi. 3) the linguistic value in terms of Andalusi Judeo-Arabic features, i.e. those letters that seem to have more elements of this variety of Judeo-Arabic...
